Shanghai is the most populous city in China located on the central coast. It is known for being a global financial hub. Its center is the Bund, a famous seaside promenade with buildings from the colonial era. Across the Huangpu River rises the futuristic skyline of the Pudong district, with the 632m-high Shanghai Tower, the second tallest building in the world, and the Oriental Pearl Tower, with its three characteristic spheres.
