Two verbs that confuse students of Chinese (to like vs to want) / Dos verbos que provocan confusión en los estudiantes de chino (gustar vs apetecer)


我喜欢冰淇淋,但是我现在不想冰淇淋。

xǐhuan bīngqílín, dànshì wǒ xiànzài bù xiǎng bīngqílín.

I like ice cream, but I don't want ice cream right now.

Me gusta el helado, pero no me apetece helado ahora.

喜欢 xǐhuan  to like  gustar 

想 xiǎng to want, would like to   apetecer, querer, ... 


我喜欢唱歌。Wǒ xǐhuan chàng gē. 

I like singing.  

Me gusta cantar.

 

我想吃面包。Wǒ xiǎng chī miànbāo.

I would like to eat bread.  

Me apetece comer pan.
