For example, the character 菜 (vegetable) contains the radical 艹 above, which means grass. Therefore, whenever you see a character that includes this radical 艹, you know that it has something to do, in one way or another, with the plant world, in general.
Por ejemplo, el carácter 菜 (verdura), contiene arriba el radical 艹, que significa hierba. Por lo tanto, siempre que veas un carácter que incluya este radical 艹 sabrás que tendrá algo que ver, de una manera u otra, con el mundo vegetal, en general.
